It has been just over two years since we started raising and selling our own chickens. Our clients are loyal to the brand and grow steadily each batch. We believe the two main reasons for choosing us are: Taste and Trust….
Taste: Our birds are fed a superior free-range diet, free of hormones and antibiotics. Our birds also graze on the greens in their Free Range camps along with bugs and creepy crawlies, chickens are omnivores and bugs are part of their natural diet. We believe these factors make for a healthier better tasting chicken. Our most popular comment from a return client is “it tastes better than everyone else”
Trust: our methods are transparent, we strive to be ethical farmers. We sell to those who appreciate and share these ethics. All of our customers become friends and our farm is open to friends. We appreciate all comments and questions from people who are conscious about what they eat
From our Farm to your Fridge...
If we've just delivered your order to your door, chances are we've said goodbye to those chickens just a day or two before..
Our Poultry Abattoir is only 300 meters away from our farm, which minimizes stress to our birds when we say our final goodbyes and they go off to become your food. Once your orders are processed the products receive a minimum 16-hour chill, and then we deliver them straight to your door. No middle man, no brining, as fresh as can be. From our farm to your Fridge in as little as a day
Our Story
We are two young adults originally from the Cape Flats. We saw the opportunity to farm with chickens so we acquired a smallholding in Hopefield and began our poultry operation from the ground out up. It’s been 4 years now, and we have been producing an average of 1500 chickens per batch for the past year and a half. Our chickens are raised free-range (fed natural feed without antibiotics, hormonal boosters or preservatives) they have adequate space to roam outside in the camps and inside in their house. We are animal lovers and are compelled to provide our birds with a comfortable life. Our experience has shown that birds raised free-range produce a superior looking meat product. Our clients are able to taste the difference in our chicken.
